Leadership Mindset

I discovered UX in 2015 after starting out in academia. After working for six years as an individual contributor, since 2021 I’ve focused primarily on design leadership, design organizational structure, and team building.

My leadership style is reflective of my UX approach: I use empathy, curiosity, and an unfailing belief in people’s abilities to guide growth, using qualitative and quantitative data to help find opportunities that feel authentic—and drive the creation of amazing, valuable products.

I currently work at Corteva Agriscience as a Senior Product Design Manager, working with an international team that builds digital products for farmers and their advisors.

Meyers Briggs: The Advocate (INFJ)

In a work setting, INFJ for me comes down to creating fulfillment for the team in a way that feels authentic to us. This means taking time to establish values and purpose, including how best to serve our customers.

When I'm not working, you can find me teaching yoga (RYT-500, RPYT), taking my dogs for a walk, keeping my houseplants alive, or most likely hanging at home with my husband, our toddler son, and our pets.

I am currently located in Des Moines, IA, and am open to remote positions as well as relocation.
